At Laser Spine Institute, the RN working in Patient Services is responsible for overseeing all processes and guidelines to ensure successful post-surgical patient satisfaction. The PSD RN will assure positive outcomes and patient satisfaction by facilitating inbound and outbound triage services via phone. Within our patient-centric environment, the PSD RN will function as a liaison between the physician(s) and patient for the post-operative management of patient concerns; to include pain assessment and MRI review. This role is vital in ensuring our patients' post-operative satisfaction.

Essential Functions - Duties &
Responsibilities:
Tasks may include, but are not limited to the following:
Functions as liaison between physicians(s) and patient for post-op management of patient concerns to include pain assessment and MRI review.
Consults with physician and PA/NP to develop medical plans of care.
Collects, organizes and scans data necessary for proper patient file documentation.
Communicates with PAs, RNs, PSR Specialists and physicians to develop and implement medical plans of care for post-operative patients.
Ensures that 2 and 6 week post-operation phone calls with patients are made to ensure proper care is provided.
Adheres to departmental standard of returning all patient phone calls within 24 hours.
May be responsible for administrative responsibilities and other duties as required for particular position and departmental function.
Follows approved patient care algorithms to ensure patients receive quality care post-op.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Successful completion of an accredited RN_ program and prior patient care experience_ is required
Active RN License and CPR certification is required
Individual must have a strong focus on patient care
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and EMR experience
Must have medical office/facility experience
Must have excellent time management skills
Must be responsible and professional along with strong communication and interpersonal skills
